Another N Scale Train project I completed during my winter break was the Nickel Plate Road 765. This was one of the factors that delayed my Santa Fe Super Chief N Scale project. The reason I wanted to get a model of the Nickel Plate Road 765 because I actually chased it when it was in Chicago when it ran The Varsity from North Glenview, IL to Janesville, WS. I even got a chance to see it prior to the day of the excursion when it showed up at Franklin Park Railroad Days. Pretty cool to have a model of a train that I once chased. Check out my YouTube video of The Varsity Steam Excursion on my YouTube channel: A-Train4014 Productions. Welcome to the N Scale family, Nickel Plate Road 765!

The Layout
Want to see my N Scale Railroad layout? Check out my YouTube channel, A-Train4014 Productions that did an in depth look at my model railroad layout. It is definitely not completed but another potential video of my layout will be posted on A-Train4014 Productions later in the year. Check out the sights and sounds of N Scale trains including the scenery of my layout. Enjoy!
PROJECT COMPLETED: Santa Fe Super Chief
Over the holiday season, I was able to finally accomplish finishing the Santa Fe Super Chief project. It took a while to finish but I found the money to the point where I could afford the F7A and the F7B units as well as the 8 car set including an additional 4 car set. So far, the Super Chief runs great especially when I used the Kato Sound Box with it. Basically, I have two F7A locomotives with two F7B locomotives in the Santa Fe Super Chief consist. I was able to work with what was best. Either with one F7B unit or put both F7B units in the train. The most unique part about having an F7A locomotive was the ability to change numbers which are included when I purchased the locomotive. I'm glad I was able to complete the project because every person I knew had a Santa Fe Super Chief in their model railroad layout and I'm glad to be in that same group. It is definitely a "Must Have" train set to own because it is one of the most popular train sets in America.

Pere Marquette 1225 to Polar Express 1225
The Polar Express is one of the classic Christmas movies directed by Robert Zemeckis. The steam locomotive in the movie is based on the Pere Marquette 1225 which is still in working operation in the state of Michigan. Earlier, I made a purchase of the Pere Marquette 1225 at the Great Train Show in Grayslake, IL and what better way to get it at the perfect time before the Christmas/holiday season arrives. I made the Polar Express logo and used invisible tape to hold the logo in place on the tender. The Pere Marquette 1225 will be holding the Polar Express colors till the end of the holiday season.

N Scale Railroad UPDATE
Sorry I haven't been posting in a while. It's not been easy keeping up with A-Train4014 Productions and College. Since I'm away from college, I've not been busy with my N Scale trains. Also, it's been a while since I've been updating so I added upcoming projects such as the Metra Operation North Pole, Union Pacific Big Boy 4014, Nickel Plate Road 765, Amtrak Heritage Units, Union Pacific Heritage Units, and Norfolk Southern Heritage Units. It's gonna be long road ahead but I'm likely going to be purchasing the Metra Operation North Pole prior to Christmas so hard to believe, but it will likely be my only N Scale train purchase since one year ago when I purchased Amtrak 42 "Veterans Unit" on the Amtrak Official Store Online. Keep up with us as projects are likely to be added later in the year.
